You are required to answer the following questions. You should save your answers in a Word document for submission. Make sure to include your name and student id number and the question as part of the Assignment response. For each assignment, you are expected to answer the assigned questions in your own words. For your assignment, make sure to write in an essay format with complete sentences. The submission should be in paragraph form with clear topic sentences and all items from the questions addressed.
Employment Law at Work
Choose one SPECIFIC company or organization in your major area (hospitality industry). For instance, I might select Disney Parks.
List the company and positions that you have found, explain the mission or goal of the organization, and describe (generally) the types of employees it has. (this should be no more than three sentences). In the example of Disneyland, I might explain the company is committed to creating experiences for families and individuals in a theme park setting and list the specific mission and/or vision of the company. I could list they have employees that work as theme park ride operators, ticket takers, hotel employees like front desk and guest room attendants, as well as food and beverage employees like food servers and cooks.
The text describes many different types of employment laws that employers must follow. Pick one of the employment laws discussed in the chapter that the organization you selected has to follow and describe the law in detail IN YOUR OWN WORDS.
Then explain how that employment law impacts discrimination in the specific workplace that you identified. Explain one specific management action that the employer would use to implement or maintain the law in the specific organization. Be specific to the organization you selected. Be sure to use your own words (do not cut and paste anything!!)
